CONNOR RANCH IS NOT A FRAUD
It’s always a shame when an addict relapses, it truly is. Before an addict or alcoholic can reach a recovery stage in their life they usually go through a tremendous amount of hell. Some people say “well it’s their fault” maybe it is their fault the first time they used but as an addict alcoholic the disease is so crippling that it makes even a rock star legend such as Michael Jackson succumb to its fate. People need help and treatment is the best approach to recovery.
Connor Ranch is a state licensed adult residential drug and alcohol treatment center. The purpose of a treatment center is to offer unconditional love, hope, and education through subjecting a person to learn about their disease, Utilizing counselors, house managers, group facilitators and other clinical staff, an individual is given direction, education, introductions to the 12-Step Alcoholic Anonymous and Narcotics Anonymous programs. There is a lot to a treatment center and all of it components. One important aspect of residential treatment is having loving compassionate staff members and house managers.
House managers usually are sober members of AA or NA that have a large amounts of clean sober time. It is mandatory that a house manager attends meetings regularly and have a sponsor and is working on his/her own recovery. This is so important because house managers spend large amounts of the day and evenings interacting with the clients staying in that particular treatment house. They must model sobriety to the clients.
Unfortunately, house managers relapse to. And in this particular blog “Connor Ranch is not a Fraud” I want to address the issue of a house manager that relapsed and has tried to slander Connor Ranch Treatment Center, staff, owner and volunteers.
The fuel that feeds this individuals anger is his disease. A former house manager that is so deep in his addiction, so far from his recovery and so addicted to methamphetamines. The pride that once resided in his mind has turned to guilt and shame. He no longer has a will to recover.
Connor Ranch Treatment Center, staff, owner and volunteers are regularly drug tested to keep the integrity of Connor Ranch alive. Unfortunately one staff member didn’t pass his test and tested positive for methamphetamine.
He has tried to destroy Connor Ranch. Being that this person is so sick and has acted like a disgruntled worker telling lies, taking photos from scrap books and putting twisted lies with them. Writing blogs lies and stories that are not true. He has created doubt in some possible future client’s minds that normally wouldn’t and couldn’t afford treatment if it wasn’t for the low prices Connor Ranch charges.
The lies he said about people dying. Addicts unfortunately die not in treatment centers but because they usually leave treatment because they are not entirely ready to stop using. They continue to get worse in their disease and guilt and shame is not dealt with properly. The pain becomes greater so they use more and more and more and sometimes they just die from the abuse given to their bodies and drug overdoses and diseases they contracted.
It’s always very sad and unfortunate when a parent has to deal with the misfortune their child brings to them by either going AWOL or relapsing and having to go through a detox before re-entering treatment. When clients fail at treatment it’s not the fault of the treatment center and it’s not the parents fault either. However it is most unfortunate that the parents are the one paying for the treatment. Parents spend lots of money for their son or daughter to go through treatment and when the person doesn’t want to be sober any longer they might try to manipulate mom and dad. They are master manipulators, they begin to complain about staff taking away privileges or taking their cell phone away. They try to come up with some excuse to continue
Connor Ranch is not a fraud. Connor Ranch’s mission is to offer affordable treatment to everyone. To keep the costs of treatment affordable and offer great programs for both men and women. Connor Ranch has a program that works if you work it. Connor Ranch allows pets to be present during your stay here. Pets are helpful when your not feeling well.
If you need detox services Connor Ranch offers them. And yes they are affordable.
Please contact a Connor Ranch staff member if you have any questions.
